Preparation for Hajj
Spiritual Preparation
Intention (Niyyah): Begin with a sincere intention to perform Hajj solely for the sake of Allah.

Essential Items for Hajj
Ihram garments: two white, unsewn cloths for men; a modest dress for women.
Personal hygiene items: unscented soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.
Medication: any prescribed medications and basic first aid supplies.
Travel documents: passport, visa, tickets, and other essential documents.
Comfort items: comfortable walking shoes, a small backpack, and a water bottle.
Hajj Rituals
Before Hajj
Ihram: Enter into the state of Ihram from the Miqat, reciting Talbiyah: “Labbayka Allahumma Labbayk.”
During Hajj
8th Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Tarwiyah)
Travel to Mina and spend the day and night there, performing the five daily prayers.
9th Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Arafah)
Proceed to Arafat and spend the day in prayer and supplication.
After sunset, travel to Muzdalifah, collect pebbles for the stoning ritual, and spend the night under the open sky.
10th Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Eid al-Adha)
Return to Mina and perform the stoning of the Jamrat al-Aqaba.
Offer the sacrifice (qurbani).
Shave or trim hair (for men); women cut a small portion of hair.
Perform Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa’i between Safa and Marwah.
11th–13th Dhul-Hijjah (Days of Tashreeq)
Continue stoning the three Jamarat each day in Mina.
Stay in Mina for two or three days, then perform the farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada) in Makkah.
